SIXTY PIES

Or, how Rusty lost his mind and decided to celebrate his sixtieth birthday by making 60 pies

Mrs. Lovett's Cutting Board

How Long Has This Been Going On?

Though I fondly remember my Nana putting my sister Robyn and me to work peeling apples so she could freeze them for pies, this really all started when Robyn gave me an ice cream maker, harkening back to our old days of working at Baskin-Robbins. I started making ice cream from local fruit from farm stands out on the Eastern End of Long Island, and from there it was a simple progression to fruit pies. Pandora's Pie, er....box...had been opened and the Kransky Pie Kitchen was in operation.
